We celebrate
Our journey began as a group of families united by a shared commitment to spreading Sanatani teachings and values. Through performing festivals, organising get-togethers, and raising social awareness, especially among our children, we strive to instil these values in the next generation. Our efforts extend beyond our own community, as we work to help and support diverse communities, aligning our actions with our core values of unity, harmony, and social responsibility.

Durga Puja
Hindu Sanatani festivals are known for their vibrant colours and elaborate rites and rituals. Durga Puja is a celebration of the Mother Goddess Durga’s triumph over the shape-shifting demon Mahisasura, symbolising the victory of good over evil. Mother of the universe, Maa Durga, revered in various forms and avatars, is worshipped by Sanatani worldwide. Traditionally a ten-day event, Durga Puja is now primarily celebrated over five days: Sashti, Saptami, Ashtami, Navami, and Dashami, which correspond to the sixth through tenth days of the Hindu lunar month. This year, we will celebrate Durga Puja from Wednesday, October 9, 2024, to Sunday, October 13, 2024. Join us in honouring this significant festival with the passion and fervour it inspires.

Ganesh Puja
In Bengal, while the nation celebrates Diwali, devotees observe Kali Puja in reverence of Goddess Kali, one of the Dasa Mahavidya or ten incarnations of the Mother Goddess. Derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Kal’, meaning ‘time’, Kali embodies the supreme power and ultimate reality. Known also as Mahakali, Bhadrakali, and Kalika, she is revered as the foremost among the Dasa Mahavidya. Originating from Shiva, she is his Shakti and represents war, anger, time, creation, destruction, and power. Kali is the divine protector who eradicates evil to safeguard the innocent and bestows liberation (moksha). Celebrated on the New Moon Day (Dipannita Amavasya) of the Hindu month of Kartik, Kali Puja coincides with the Laxmi Puja day of Diwali. This year, we celebrate Kali Puja from Thursday, October 31, 2024, 10:22 AM, to Friday, November 1, 2024, 12:46 PM, inviting all to join in honouring her sacred presence.

Saraswati Puja
Saraswati Puja, dedicated to Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, art, and wisdom, is celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm, especially in educational institutions. Observed primarily on Vasant Panchami in January or February, the festival involves devotees, particularly students, offering prayers to seek blessings for academic success and artistic skills. Homes and schools are decorated with flowers, and books, musical instruments, and study materials are placed near the goddess’s idol. Traditional sweets are prepared and shared. Devotees often wear yellow, symbolizing the onset of spring and Saraswati’s association with purity and enlightenment.

Diwali
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most significant Hindu festivals, symbolising the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. This joyous occasion commemorates the return of Lord Rama to his kingdom after 14 years of exile and his victory over the demon king Ravana. Homes and public spaces are adorned with colourful rangoli, oil lamps (diyas), and vibrant decorations, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy. Families come together to perform traditional rituals, share sweets, and set off fireworks, illuminating the night sky. Diwali fosters a sense of unity, bringing people from diverse backgrounds together to celebrate the triumph of positive forces. This year, we will celebrate Diwali on Thursday, November 7, 2024, and we invite everyone to join us in this beautiful celebration of light and joy.
